The Apostle John walked with Him, talked with Him, watched Him die and was later also inspired to write the book of Revelation. His task was to convey in these pages, the glory and wonder of the Lord Jesus and the divine invitation to every believer to experience fellowship with the triune God. 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life...3 ...declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. As the only perfect candidate in His strategic dying move, He purchased the gift of spiritual life.
The Crucifixion and Resurrection are the core of the Christian faith. Jesus came into the world to die; he came seeking those who have and will sense their lost condition and will turn to Him in simple faith. The Easter message displays the value God places upon the human soul and it cameos the inner transaction and cooperation necessary for His eternal life to be allowed to flow. Hebrews 2:13 ...I will put my trust in him. II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Whether conscious of it or not, every human soul is positioned on one side or the other of an unseen world and war... Our perspective on our position in this battle, influences how we respond to the seemingly unrelated details of our daily lives -from the crisis to the mundane. Perspective is everything! For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. As 2016 stretches out before us, we know so well that much of what will transpire in the year ahead is out of our control. How comforting it is for the believer to know there is divine design in each step ahead and that all things are being worked together for our good! Our focus for the next couple of month is upon I & II Peter. This audio is the third message from this series. It pulls us from our horizontal perspective and challenges us to see ourselves and our circumstances as God does...

The book of Hebrews was written to those who are heirs of salvation and who have access to God through the blood of Christ. In particular this book was written to Christians who are discouraged and whose great need is to grow in their faith. It addresses two types of blessing: a) Present Gifts –which are unilateral and irrevocable, given freely at salvation. b) Future Rewards –which are conditional; these do depend on how we build upon the foundation which is laid, the Lord Jesus Christ. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. " John 10:27-28 In the midst of circumstances that could have demoralized Paul, the apostle penned Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. The prison epistles are full of joy and hope and pass on to every believer a glimpse of our shared birthright in Christ; what is ours now and the marvel of what is yet to come. This two part series focuses upon these wonderful truths found in Christ. Click below to access this series of messages.

Shortly after the Children of Israel experienced the grand exodus from their captors in Egypt, reality set in. They soon discovered that freedom from bondage was not quite what they expected. And because they fought against their circumstances and their God at every turn, they were robbed of His joy in the process.
There are so many parallels with our Christian lives in their journey! Nowhere in Scripture are we promised that walking with God will be a bed of roses. Having been saved from the penalty of our sin, there is often a misconception that God is going to make us healthy, wealthy and wise...that He is going to solve all our problems, protect us from harm and maintain for us a happy environment. Active imaginations and an erroneous understanding of His reality set us up for much disappointment. The Christian life is one of warfare! We can expect battles with the devil, battles with the world and battles with ourselves. Our faith will be tested and stretched, strengthened and tested again. But we are promised that the trial of our faith is more precious than gold, that He is with us in it, promising to supply all that we need if we will only trust and let Him be God... and we are also assured that through the process we are being prepared for something far greater than we can ever imagine.
Paul identifies an error in his letter to Galatia that strikes at the heart of the Christian faith…because it moves an individual’s trust away from Christ and back to him or herself. There are so many believers today who are living a form of Galatian-ism in order to win favor with God. They are caught on a treadmill of commitment-failure-confession-resolution. Paul refers to this as perverting the gospel that was completed and finished on the cross. In contrast we are called to stand in freedom and allow Christ, through His Holy Spirit, to live through us, exhibiting characteristics and qualities that are not our own, but His...This is true freedom and in this "rest" and engagement so much is possible! The Pew Research wrote recently that the Christian share of the US population is declining at a fast rate. Likewise, in in a recent Guardian article, England and Wales were reported as having "such an enormous reversal in the space of 10 years ...an indication of the huge upheaval there has been in religious attitudes in Britain". Of course, we know that authentic Christianity is not a 'religion' but rather a life of faith lived in dependence upon the activity of the living God through Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 2:2-3 prepares believers to "not be shaken or troubled" by these events that are described as a "falling away" prior to the "day of Christ". Nevertheless, authentic Christian living is the challenge that faces us each day. Do we live what we claim? Do we fully understand the tenets of our faith? Can we give an answer for the hope that lies within us?
One year ago, on March 29th 2014, the Lord brought Ashley Day into His presence. He went with a confidence and an expectation -one which is the right of every Christian. The buttons below will access each single message.
The Gospel of John conveys who Jesus is and some of the practical activities and conversations that took place while He walked this earth. It explains within its pages the mysterious incarnation of the eternal Word, who became Jesus, the Christ of God. In this context, Scofield quotes Col 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge and goes on to describe this holy One as "the divine wisdom, the collective thought of God." Yet this book brings these eternal realities to a personal level: He came to know us individually and to lavish upon us an unconditional love that has nothing to do with our past, of any present feelings of unworthiness or any meager accomplishments we might try to offer Him. He as a member of the divine Trinity Who loves and seeks and longs for relationship with each of his creatures who will respond to Him. Click here to access the book: Exploring John's Gospel
