The light we envision on that first Christmas night lit up the Judaean Hills for the Shepherds and 32 years later, enveloped the Lord Jesus before the amazed disciples. From scripture, we know that physical light surrounds and radiates from the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
However, the Bible also refers to a different form of light, spiritual light. To appreciate this light, consider the world into which the Christ-child was born. It was a world of darkness, spiritual darkness and one without hope.
