The Book of Joshua

The life of Joshua is an exciting account of conquest and defeat with the ultimate goal, God's glory and for the people, rest. There are many parallels here to the Christian's struggle against the forces of darkness. God's warfare is never decided on the basis of training, knowledge, experience, technique or skill. In all of the Bible's battle accounts we find a consistent pattern: the victories were the Lord's and the defeats could be traced to men!
