Fruit of the Spirit
"...love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control..." (verses 22, 23)
Do these character qualities each stand alone? or are they segments of the single fruit of divine love? And on a practical level, are we finding them low hanging attainable fruit or elusive expressions, as the storms of life pummel our lives.
Fortunately, scripture reveals that while these are impossible for us to produce in and of ourselves, they are inseparable character qualities of the Spirit of God. Spiritual fruit is a product of His life in us; "for it is God which works in you both to will and to do his good pleasure". Phil 2:13
