Galatians

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us... that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13, 14

​Paul identifies an error in his letter to Galatia that strikes at the heart of the Christian faith…because it moves an individual’s trust away from Christ and back to him or herself.

There are so many believers today who are living a form of Galatian-ism in order to win favor with God. They are caught on a treadmill of commitment-failure-confession-resolution. Paul refers to this as perverting the gospel that was completed and finished on the cross. In contrast we are called to stand in freedom and allow Christ, through His Holy Spirit, to live through us, exhibiting characteristics and qualities that are not our own, but His...This is true freedom and in this "rest" and engagement so much is possible!
