Hebrews

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2

The book of Hebrews was written to those who are heirs of salvation and who have access to God through the blood of Christ. In particular this book was written to Christians who are discouraged and whose great need is to grow in their faith.
It addresses two types of blessing:
a) Present Gifts –which are unilateral and irrevocable, given freely at salvation.
b) Future Rewards –which are conditional; these do depend on how we build upon the foundation which is laid, the Lord Jesus Christ.​
