In rejecting all the taunts from man and devil to resist His crucifixion, He submitted fully to the purpose for which He came: to accept within Himself the full unmitigated judgement for the sins of mankind.
The process of carrying that weight of the world's sin was something Jesus did -completely alone. In trust, the loving eternal union between the Father and Son was severed as Jesus became sin for us. When taken down from the cross, Jesus the man was fully dead. There was nothing within Jesus' lifeless body to change that.
