The Pew Research wrote recently that the Christian share of the US population is declining at a fast rate. Likewise, in in a recent Guardian article, England and Wales were reported as having "such an enormous reversal in the space of 10 years ...an indication of the huge upheaval there has been in religious attitudes in Britain". Of course, we know that authentic Christianity is not a 'religion' but rather a life of faith lived in dependence upon the activity of the living God through Jesus Christ.
II Thessalonians 2:2-3 prepares believers to "not be shaken or troubled" by these events that are described as a "falling away" prior to the "day of Christ".
Nevertheless, authentic Christian living is the challenge that faces us each day. Do we live what we claim? Do we fully understand the tenets of our faith? Can we give an answer for the hope that lies within us?
