The Sovereignty of God
Our Father God is revealed to us as a compassionate but active, initiator; One who does the deciding, who does the purposing and who does the fulfilling. In the context of salvation, parallel lines run through scripture of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. A paring, which in eternity will become clear, is for our finite minds impossible to reconcile.
The Apostle Paul describes a time when “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth; and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" Philippians 2:10-11.
