The Gospel of John
"In Him was life; and the life was the light of men and the light shined in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:4-5
C.I. Scofield describes this Holy One as
"the divine wisdom, the collective thought of God,"
quoting from Colossians 2:3
"In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
So left to ourselves, we do not have the equipment to discern spiritual truth.
